Roy’s Grill is a longtime fixture in nearby Rossville, Georgia. Originally opened in 1934 on the corner of Rossville Blvd and McFarland Ave, it was the site of one of our first dates in the summer of 1998. It has changed ownership, closed, and reopened a few times in the past 24 years; we haven’t been in several years, since the last closure and reopening. When I asked hubby to plan our annual Valentine’s Day outing (in which which we try to creatively avoid the dinner crowds at the traditional types of romantic venues), he surprised me with Saturday brunch at our old haunt. Our pancakes and bacon and basic coffee with a big side of nostalgia were just perfect 💘
