The Soup Diva

Tonight, we visited a new regional pizza chain called Slim & Husky’s. My coworker Deana is a big fan and finally convinced me to drag the hubby there for dinner. It’s a unique company founded by 3 lifelong friends and graduates of Tennessee State University in Nashville, and is one of the fastest-growing black-owned businesses in the southeast. We had the really delicious “Ce-No Green” pizza (all meats, no veg), 2 of their decadent sweet rolls, and some of the most amazing craft sodas I’ve ever drunk. The atmosphere is comfortable but not cozy, with urban art and messages of empowerment on the walls (the “PREAM” painting showcased both of my alma maters, which was so cool). We told them “we’ll be back!” and we will.
