My mother-in-law surprised my husband and me at Christmas with these heated lunch boxes. They look and operate like mini crock-pots; but they don’t actually cook food, they just heat and maintain the temperature. I can put leftovers or canned soup/pasta in it when I arrive at work, or even an hour before lunch, and it will be hot and ready to enjoy. I don’t have to wait for the work microwave, everything is heated evenly, and nobody (not even me) can smell my food until I open the airtight lid. It makes me smile to look over during the morning and see the red light and know there’s a warm comforting lunch in there!
The first meal I heated in it was the last of the New Year’s Ham & Cabbage Soup.
