“Easy as Pie” Apple Cobbler

  • 2 cans apple pie filling
  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans (optional)

Spray 13 x 9 x 2 cake pan or casserole dish. Dump pie filling and spread into even layer; sprinkle cake mix evenly over apples. Cube butter and arrange on top; sprinkle with cinnamon (and pecans, if desired). Bake at 350 (325 for dark pan) for 45 minutes or until browned. Allow to sit before serving. Delicious with a scoop of vanilla ice cream!

(For those who remember Po Folks restaurant, this is nearly identical to their cobbler! Of course, you can make this with any fruit you choose.)
