Broccoli Salad

This is the first dish ever that got me to eat raw broccoli. Yes, it’s that good.
  • 2 heads broccoli, cut into bite size pieces
  • 6 green onions, diced
  • 8 slices bacon, cooked crunchy and crumbled
  • ¾ cup pecans, chopped
  • 1 cup shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
Toss together, then add:
  • 1 cup mayonnaise (light mayo does well here)
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • Dash of your favorite hot sauce (optional)
  • ¼ cup sugar or Splenda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • Black pepper and garlic powder to taste
Stir until completely incorporated. Allow to chill for at least an hour.
