We started a new tradition a several years ago of going out for an early meal on or near New Year’s Eve, then staying home for the evening; neither of us enjoys crowds, late nights, or loud noises for prolonged periods. This year, with the new year beginning midweek, we opted to go for brunch on the Sunday before at a rather unusual spot: a biker bar on the road to our church that recently began serving brunch. We enjoyed our meal, the unique atmosphere, and the friendly service. We’ll be back soon!
