I recently started a new job in the mail center of a large insurance company. One of the perks of working on this huge campus is the Cadence Coffee Common Grounds coffee shop in the main building. My favorite of their fall specialty drinks is called The Scholar, which is warm and comforting and….not coffee (!) Since I knew I’d go broke if I indulged myself every day, I created my own adaptation 🍵
For each serving, you’ll need:
- 8 oz steaming water
- 1 bag Earl Gray tea (I prefer the double bergamot version)
- 1 shot maple spice coffee syrup
- 2 oz steamed and/or frothed milk or oat milk
Brew tea, then add shot and stir, topping with milk. Brilliant!
