You’ve seen these, I’m sure — the little circuloctagonal crackers made for soup garnish, coated in butter or oil and seasonings and baked like party mix. Here is my version, which is a bit of a kitchen sink of ingredients because, well, I like them all!
- 4 bags oyster crackers (9 oz or so)
- 2 sticks butter (or 1 cup olive oil)
- 2 packets ranch dressing mix
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan
- 2 tbsp white or brown sugar
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp Old Bay or your favorite seasoning blend (optional)
- Hot sauce to taste (optional, of course)
Coat roasting pan with cooking spray and pour in crackers. Add all dry ingredients and stir, then butter/oil and hot sauce. Bake at 250⁰ for 10 minutes, stir and bake 10 more minutes. Allow to cool before eating (or you will burn your fingers and tongue!)

A very nice savory snack.
