- 1 cup sugar
- ½ cup flour
- 2 eggs, slightly beaten
- 1 stick melted butter
- 1 tsp vanilla
- Pinch of salt
- 1 cup pecans, broken up
- 6 oz. chocolate chips
- 2 shallow uncooked pie crusts (thawed)
Mix flour and sugar together. Combine all other ingredients with the first mixture. Pour all into the pie crusts and bake at 325 degrees for 45-50 minutes. Serve with whipped cream, Cool Whip or ice cream.
I don’t bring this pie to family gatherings, because it could kill both my mother (who can’t have nuts) and my mother-in-law (who can’t have chocolate)! But it’s delightful for the first Saturday in May while watching horse racing on TV.
