Mayonnaise Biscuits

Easy, moist, and delicious – 3 things all biscuits should be!

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour (preferably a southern low-protein brand)
  • 1 tbsp baking powder (heaping)
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • ¼ cup mayo (not low-fat)
  • ¾ cup (scant) sweet milk

Sift dry ingredients. Stir in mayo until combined. Slowly stir in milk until proper consistency (may not need all of it). Roll to 1 inch* and cut with biscuit cutter or drinking glass; place on baking sheet almost touching. Bake 400 until done (check at 10 min).

*(Roll out thin and fold over several times to make flaky layers)
