Instant Pot Mac & Cheese for National Cheese Day 🧀

5 [maybe 6] ingredients, 4 steps, 3 minutes, 2 servings, and 1 delicious dish!

  • 8 oz macaroni noodles (1 1/2 cups)
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 1 to 1 1/2 cups shredded cheese (Cheddar and/or Gouda with a little Parmesan work well)
  • 1/4 cup milk (2% or whole)
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • Salt and white pepper (optional) to taste

Place pasta, water, butter, and salt in Instant Pot; stir lightly if needed to ensure pasta is covered. Pressure cook 3 minutes, then quick release. Switch Pot to Saute and stir in milk and white pepper. Add cheese in 3 or 4 batches, stirring after each. Cancel Saute; add more seasoning or milk if needed. Of course, you can double if you have a 6 or 8 qt Pot.
