- 10-12 chicken thighs (bone-in, skin-on; 5-6 lbs)
- 1 cup barbeque sauce [can substitute hot sauce for up to 1/4 of total]
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
Preheat oven to 250 degrees. Arrange chicken thighs in single layer on wire rack placed over baking sheet. Sprinkle with baking powder and seasonings and press gently onto skin; bake on lower rack for 30 minutes. Move to middle rack, increase temperature to 425 and roast another 30 minutes. Remove from oven, brush with sauce, and return to oven for 10-15 minutes. Serve with your favorite sides.

A day at home, a large pack of chicken thighs in the freezer, and a gigantic jar of homemade barbeque sauce [Christmas gift from family member] led to this dish. (Barbeque chicken also happens to be one of hubby’s favorite things to eat, earning me some brownie points!)
This was some mighty tasty chicken dear. I enjoyed it very much. So glad there are leftovers.

Oh my, this looks and sounds delish. My Tony loves chicken thighs and there is nothing in here from his food intolerances (I make my own BBQ sauce). Laura, I will be making this very soon!
