What to make for dinner when you’re limited on time and have hot dogs & hash browns needing to be used? Turn them into a casserole, of course! Sheldon Cooper would probably love this ❤️
- 1 pkg hot dogs
- 1 bag frozen hash browns
- 2 cups shredded cheese
- 1/2 cup diced onion (optional)
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened (flavored or plain) or sour cream
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tbsp mustard (any kind)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Defrost and drain hash browns. Meanwhile, slice hot dogs into 1/2” coins. Stir together all other ingredients in large bowl, then add sliced hot dogs, then hash browns, stirring each time until incorporated well. Spray oblong or 2 small casserole dish(es) and pack mixture lightly. Cover with foil and bake 375⁰ for 45 minutes. (Would go great with some soft crescent rolls).

🐶 Hash Brown Hot Dog Casserole seemed a bit cumbersome for a title (and Hot Hash Casserole sounded more like a spicy skillet dish, which this isn’t). So by process of elimination, Brown Dog Casserole it is!
