This has been a rough week. My beloved Mom, who has been battling Alzheimer’s Disease for several years, finally joined my Dad, her parents, and her siblings in Heaven. We were able to celebrate her 90th birthday a few months ago and spent much quality time with her in her last weeks. I give Mom credit for being my first cooking teacher, and training me how to shop for produce. In addition to being a great cook, she was an amazing seamstress and needlework artist (she made my wedding gown and other clothes, quilts, framed art, and various items for me throughout my life). Below are the recipes she shared or inspired for this blog. I love you, Mom.

I love you honey. Your mom is proud of you…then, now and always.
