Even in this age of keeping in touch on social media, nothing beats spending time with special people in person. When you live a couple of hours away from each other, though, that becomes challenging. Today, we met halfway between with our dear friend Amy, whom we lovingly call Vicar (and as a fellow fan of The Vicar of Dibley, she calls us her Hugo and Alice). We saw movie together and checked out a well-reviewed local restaurant, Bald-Headed Bistro. It was unique, cozy, tasty, and a perfect spot to catch up after a couple of turbulent years for all of us. We parted promising to get together again soon.

This is just a perfect, mouth-watering post. I’ve always wondered about the Bald-Headed Bistro, and your photographs are stunning and compelling. (And though you are both miles smarter than the characters, you’re equally adorable and charming, so I may have to start calling you Hugo and Alice, too!)

Aww, thanks! I agree we are a little more wise, but it’s our loyalty to our Vicar that gave us the monikers 😊
